This session is designed to introduce the idea that the different races of human beings are actually a human construct, devised mainly to justify the superiority of one race and the inferiority of others. Much of this information will be new to you and might challenge as well as disturb your understanding of race and racism. As Christians, we must look at the story of our faith as recorded in Scripture and discover what it says about who we are. Further, we must think critically about any other theories—so-called scientific, philosophical, etc.—that would counter God’s will and divide and demean any of God’s people.
