Session Focus
This second session is designed to help define racism and how it differs from individual prejudices and biases. It explores both biblical/theological and contemporary examples to demonstrate that racism is antithetical to God’s plan for humanity, that racism negatively affects white people and people of color, AND that systemic racism impedes and thwarts just functions of our institutions, even the church. You might experience some resistance to the definition and the notion of contemporary impact, especially in the church. Keep your focus on what you believe as a Christian and on what God wants for the human family.
